The movers called to see if we wanted to go tomorrow instead of Wednesday, because of the weather. We're not going to be ready to go tomorrow.

And they issued an inland tropical storm watch or warning (not sure which) for us earlier today. They're moving the Space Shuttle off the launch platform, I think, and predicting three to five inches of rain around here.

Now, I'm not one to go crazy over this. But does it have to happen when I'm in the middle of moving?

(And if my head is any kind of barometer, and it usually is, we're in for a storm.)

I'm sorry to hear that you are losing all of our first house thunder over a tropical storm. :( As if buying/closing a house isn't stressful enough.... I'm handling mine all remotely but have the advantage of already living in the place.

My family is having a good laugh over it.

My Bat Mitzvah-it poured for the entire week prior. The event was held outdoors, at home.
My college graduation-two weeks of torential rain, including the weekend of graduation-the event was slated to be held outdoors, but they tried to cram as many people into the indoor auditorium and provided closed circut tv feeds to people who were watching elsewhere on campus.
My grad school graduation-the main ceremony was an outdoor event. It rained, so it was hurridly moved indoors. (Fortunately, the department ceremony was indoors, and that's what mattered to me.)

We al thought my wedding would get rained out. Instead, it was far hotter than anyone imagined, and really humid.

So, I can't say I'm surprised, considering my history. I was just kind of hoping to escape it again.

Here's hoping your luck turns around this time. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you. And doing the anti-rain dance, too. I'm envisioning the whole storm detouring Florida, spinning off into the Atlantic, and disappearing. And I'll knock on wood, too, just to keep the bases covered.

Would it be possible to stall a couple of days since you cant go early?

We'd go Thursday, I think, if they don't want to do it tomorrow, which is fine-Cayne will take an extra day off.

We'd go Thursday if necessary. I'm waiting for a call back from the movers, who will decide whether they want to take a chance on tomorrow or not. Cayne will end up taking an extra day off if we do have to postpone it.
