I remembered thing number three from yesterday's list, and I get to add 4 and 5. They're out of order because thing three may delve into the TMI Variety for some people.
4. Fed Ex-Mom fed exed me something. Rather important stuff that shouldn't have been dropped outside the door. And Fed Ex decided that it should just be dropped outside the door because it's going to a residence, rather than a business. Apparently they have some policy now whereby one needs to pay extra to get a signature when mailed to a residence. However, even my mother, who sends Fed Ex shipments frequently from work, was apparently unaware of this. I'm grateful for Widget-cat who exhibits vaguely dog like behavior and races to the door when someone is there, and paws at the blinds so he can see out.
5. Phone calls from 716-566-9598. I've written about it before here. Most of the calls are hang up calls, but I'm fed up. They're a daily occurance, only on weekdays, and they never leave a voicemail, so I can't write them any sort of letter to tell them to stop. I'm fairly certain it's some kind of autodialer. These have now been going on for three months, despite being on the Do Not Call list since we got the number. I'm fed up and frustrated. On the rare occasions I get a real person, they won't give me any information about where they're calling from, or a callback number or anything. I'm tempted to lie and tell them that I know Margaret Hipp, or that I am Margaret Hipp in order to get the information. Alternatively, I can pay $5 a month for selective call rejection to block the calls (I'm not sure that's worth it though.) Or, try using the call trace/annoyance service at $10 per use. However, the call trace people at Embarq basically said there's not much they can do since it's a spoofed number, and they'll probably get the same result we do. The woman I spoke with did suggest an airhorn or a whistle, for the occasions that I do get a live person. They also said they would change our number without charging us if we opted for that, because some of the calls have been threatening. Cayne says he'd be okay with changing our number, but I'm not sure what we should do.
It wouldn't bother me so much if they would leave a voicemail. With a voicemail, I could probably track them backwards somehow and simply write a letter to get them to stop.
3. Ovulation, or what in the world is going on. It might have happened, it might not have, who knows. I'm just going to ride that wave and expect that my period will show up while we're travelling. Because you know, it'll be most irritating that way, and probably heavy and crampy and uncomfortable, and all that.
Feh. I'm sure it doesn't help that I'm half-staving off a migraine either, and despite chocolate not generally being a trigger food for me, I ate a couple of M&Ms this afternoon, without thinking about it, and it seems that made it worse.
