For those of you who took Clomid who were ovulating pretty consistently on your own, did you find your luteal phase changed at all? I forgot to ask when Dr P prescribed it, and the nurse I deal with when I call is generally not exactly on top of things, so I wouldn't trust an answer from her...and Dr P is usually in surgery on Monday's anyway.
I know Clomid is sometimes prescribed for luteal phase defects, and while I have a short phase, it doesn't fall into the category of "defect" quite yet.

Date: 2007-05-28 05:54 pm (UTC)I don't do fertility related communities online. It's a personal thing, but it crosses the line as to how much I'm willing to deal in fertility related circles. Basically, the short version is I'm pessimistic enough on my own and reading about the failures exacerbates that. Even though you do get the success stories. But thank you for the suggestions.
So maybe it wasn't useless to start with OPKs today then, if your experience indicates that short LPs can go to 14 days. I'm typically about ten, which raised eyebrows but until we know that it's a problem (on top of everything else) the best course of action was declared to be "let it be for now."
I take a B complex already. An occasional side effect of metformin is anemia, and when I first started the metformin, I discovered that suddenly I was brusing a great deal more easily than I had been before, and the B complex seems to help that.

Date: 2007-05-28 06:04 pm (UTC)I was prescribed Clomid because I had anovulatory cycles. However, I was pregnant 14 days later. So how it affected my luteal phase is up for grabs.
