For what it's worth -- I've gotten pregnant without any difficulty twice with a luteal phase of 9 days. By which I don't mean to suggest that a short luteal phase is never a problem, but that it isn't necessarily. So my advice is not to worry about it unless you actually have trouble becoming/staying pregnant.
The second time, I actually had a completely normal period and later turned out to be pregnant. Go figure!
