There are just some movies, no matter how sad that I keep watching over and over again. One of them is the MASH "Farewell" movie. I cry, everytime. But I do watch it-over and over and over again.

A few more interesting things from Saturday night's events...

1. I said "Purple headed yogurt slinger" in polite conversation, when asked what the most amusing name for a bodypart I'd heard lately from kids in my group was.

2. [livejournal.com profile] aquariumgirl and I had never talked about how to deal with the poly side of our relationship in some situations, and Saturday was one of them. Many of my co-workers know that I'm poly, but Saturday night we were with the executive board, and there were at least two conversations where it had the potential to be a factor-one about housing prices in her area, and another about living situations. I'd have been okay with being more open about it, but it's also okay that we weren't.

Oh, let's see....

Lunches are getting more and more amusing. Yesterday we were talking about how unappealing it is when men have extremely prominent packages, or genitalia hanging visibly in their shorts. (Like when a guy is wearing boxers and shorts and you can see right up them.) A. countered that with "camel toe" today...S. was very confused until someone explained it in Spanish to her...at which point she burst out laughing. Today, S. was also talking about our executive director, and how much he was sometimes like a "pastor." I agreed, as did another woman at the table. Two of the women at the table looked horrified and shocked. And as S. went on and on, they looked increasingly pained. S. has a very thick accent....she's from the Dominican Republic. My poor co-workers misunderstood "pastor" as "bastard." We were rolling on the floor. S. was terribly embarassed, but amused at the same time.

If nothing else, the fact that lunches are increasingly social at work means that I'm better at remembering to eat, and at a reasonable hour, not at my desk.

No allergy meds...still haven't picked them up. Tomorrow morning before I go to the office. And fatigue is getting to me again. Went to bed early, barely made it through the day, and still napped this evening. Feh.
