How about some "Stay Put" vibes for this baby.

My doula is unavailable til Sunday (though her backup is around.) And then, my OB, who I like and trust is out of town for a week next week. So, lets get some "stay put til April 7" vibes going for this baby.

Oh. And I got my first "have you had the baby yet" e-mail the other day. I will post later about what our plans are for letting the viewing public know that the babe has arrived.

This article about Penny Simkin (a doula and childbirth educator in the pacific northwest) actually talks about a doctor instructing a nurse to tie a woman's legs together to slow down labor so that he could go have dinner.

An interesting article, I'm glad I read it before finishing my comment because the fellow was practicing in 1957. Hopefully things are better these days.

(My initial comment was, "Good god, I hope he got his license revoked." Kind of moot now, most likely.)

Baby's still inside. :) I've been extra tired and my Mom is here right now so I'm sort of less online than usual. She's supposed to be helping me get the house organized which means sort of driving me nuts, but also really being very helpful.
