Hungry, hungry kitties...

I need to find a new food for my cats. The two places locally who used to get the food they were eating (Royal Canin's Sensible Choice) can no longer get it, and my kitties still need to eat. It needs to be chicken/rice type food and free of fish...and I don't have the time I use to to go and read labels and compare. Naomi just won't put up with that.

I might try Nutro Naturals because the local feed place can probably get it for me, since he stocks Nutro, but I don't know. It would be easier if I thought I could cook for the fur beasts, but creating a balanced diet for indoor cats isn't something that I have the time to do right now.

Ah, fur beasts.

In theory, sure. In practice, it may not make sense to pay the shipping on cat food in a quantity that's reasonable for me to store and keep fresh for the three of them-it does get moldy after a while, plus there's the "must order well enough in advance to make sure it gets here before they need it" issue.

we do wellness core (grain-free) dry, and trader joe's wet. ours really like the wellness, previously they were on nutro. they have better poop on the wellness, tbh.

The CORE has fish in it, so that's a no go. I knew I'd looked at Wellness before-the guy I used to buy food from when we lived in our apartment suggested it.

The regular Wellness (not the CORE) has a chicken and rice variety - http://www.wellnesspetfood.com/cat_wellness_dry_complete_health_chicken.html - but looking at it, it also contains... salmon meal? That's interesting. That's what we fed ours before moving to Wellness CORE.

Makes Beta barf more often. And since feeding a fish-free food seems to reduce that, I just do my best to avoid fish for him.

I tend to avoid fish in their daily diet because of it, but he gets the occasional fishy treat when I'm feeling generous.
