Oooh. Drag brunch (it came out the first time as fag brunch) sounds like a blast. Like character brunh in disneyworld for grown ups!

Freddy's is supposed to do a good brunch too...I've never been; we go for lunch sometimes from work though.

There is a bright side to it (heh, I am the eternal optimist)...

When Dubya fucks up (you know he will, like father like son) and the economy goes deeper into the crapper, there will be no scapegoat. He won't be able to point to Congress and say that If Only They Had Followed My Lead Then None Of This Would Have Happened. I seem to remember one of his campaign slogans was something like "give me a Republican Senate that will work with me". It could very well end up working against him, and them.

I really am disappointed too but trying to make the best of things

You do have a point there. At the same time, I fear the effects on the Supreme Court, and the kinds of programs that my work depends on. I'm comforted (a bit) by the fact that our grant runs through the end of 9/2004, but that's not saying much. I've still got to manage to make it on what I earn, and get through everything else.

2004 isn't that far away.

I'm usually working evenings so I don't get out for happy hour anymore.

But I'm sure brunch or bingo could be a possibility. Especially since I go in late on Wednesday am, so I don't get quite so nuts about going to bed early.
