I'd left an apple on the coffee table-I'd taken it out to eat and not eaten it yet.

Naomi is nearby and picks it up off the table, and says "Apple" and walks away with it-"apple" is new-we'd been getting one syllable "Ap" for a long time, but two syllables in a way that would be more understandable to someone who doesn't hear her all the time, that's progress. Then it become "ball" and she walks away.

Then she turns around and says "Apple. Nom, nom, nom."


Cayne traded her a ball for the apple and is slicing pieces off for her which she is eating with gusto.
