Tell me something good.

I've had one kid or the other crying almost all day. Sometimes both at the same time. Naomi's dinner was very late. I haven't eaten yet. I have no idea when [livejournal.com profile] zedrikcayne might be home.

So tell me something good that will help me smile and release the tension from my shoulders. Cheer me on, cheer me up?

Last night my autistic piano student learned about sharps and understood them! The song in his book that used them was a little version of Fur Elise. So after he played it, I told him about Beethoven and the original... and then played it for him... And he was SO excited about it. After I played the original for him, he said, "That's the same as MY song?" And so I had him play his again... and he HEARD it and played his three more times.

So, I finally got one of the kids to be willing to read the Harry Potter (Liam) and I was reading the first one to him tonight. He went with me to see the HP exhibit at the Museum of Science and wanted a wand (this was before he read the books). Tonight when putting him to bed he insisted that I had to put the wand someplace point up so that the magic wouldn't run out.

It will get easier. I know you know, but reminders are helpful!

Um... I could smell Spring today when we were out. Something is growing and perfuming the winter air with Spring!

It snowed!
While I realize this is not a good thing in many places, it is so rare in NC, it is a wonder.

When it started last night, Will (aka my pet gaybie) and I went out and danced in it, and were joined by a couple guys from the bookstore nextdoor. It looked like glitter was falling from the sky.

And it was enough to shut Foster's down today. :) :) That, coupled with my new days off, means I have a 4 day weekend: 3 days with the boy, and one all to myself.

I hope today is better, honey.
