Not really a dream

geminigirlWhen I work my regular hours at work, my alarm goes off at 6:45 AM. I have it set to WAMU,-one of the local NPR stations. (Isn't it great that I live in a place that supports TWO public radio stations?) I like to wake up to Morning Edition.
So Friday morning, my alarm goes off as usual, and they're running a story about the approval of a rapid HIV test. (I'm thrilled that it's been approved, it has some really great potential uses, but I'm concerned about the counselling etc. part of the testing process.) I wake up. I think I'm dreaming. It's totally unsurprising that I'd have a dream that involved HIV testing.
I doze off, five minutes later I wake up to the end of the story, realize my alarm is going off and leap out of bed.
No, really, I wasn't dreaming. But that's really bringing my work home with me.
