This thing with my Dad is exhausting and I'm not even there. I feel doubly helpless being far away, my mother and I are fighting because I have a zillion questions and no one has answers. That's not particularly helpful because it drains her even further of her ability to cope with my Dad (and spending 14 hours a day in a hotel room) and it doesn't get my questions answered either.

This whole thing just plain rots.

Is she computer-savvy? Just thinking that it might be helpful to set up a CaringBridge.org site for your dad to provide updates... that way she could put all the updates in one place and people can check THAT without having to bug her directly (I have no idea who else is calling her but I imagine a lot of people).

Still, as his daughter, your questions should be answered. Are you able to get in contact with his doctors?

Edited to add -- so sorry you are having to deal with this and I hope he is improving. Not knowing details must be incredibly frustrating. :/
