Not that I had to look up what hunter green meant on the Hanky Code (because I do in fact know some of them right off the top of my head) but it does amuse me that there's a certain person (who knows the significance and is undoubtedly doing this deliberately) who is wearing one in his left pocket.

And it's so beautifully subtle...most of the rest of the people here would have no clue.

I was in Claire's Boutique Monday with a socially educated friend of mine. We noticed the large collection of colored hankies on the wall. We wondered if the store's employees had any clue of their significance, and if we should say something. In the end, we kept it to ourselves but we did get some odd looks from the staff for our giggling. (it cracked me up to think of a young teenage girl wandering around wearing, say, the hanky that means "i like bears in leather".)
