Last night, while waiting in line for Two Towers, I finally heard what happened while I was home for Thanksgiving.

My kitten (Beta) got a golden shower. He's rather fond of the toilet and will race into the bathroom and leap onto it if he sees you heading that way. (A big change from when he was afraid of the noise not long ago.) He managed to get onto the toilet while B's husband A. was peeing. And the little baby kitty got peed on.

Serves him right.

(Course now I might have to get a little yellow collar for him...)

Actually, she told me they gave him a bath...he must have hated that.

My sister's boy cat is a brute. As J was flushing the toilet, the cat threw himself against the bathroom door to open it, ran into the room and jumped right into the open toilet.

Serves him right. :)

Beta takes regular swims in the toilet. I tend not to notice anymore until he comes over to cuddle on me with wet paws.

Have you considered putting a little sign under the seat reminding folks to close it? grendelgongon used to do this when he lived with ferrets. It was very effective.

Preia likes to jump onto the toilet at inopportune moments as well... like when I'm in the process of sitting down. But so far she hasn't gotten splashed. I've gotten good at intercepting her.
