Stranded in Dallas two days beyond when I was supposed to be home.
Glad to be home, even though the company was good.
Met fab people.
Had sex. Had planned on not having sex.
The best part was talking to people from all over who work in the same field, who I could talk to about challenges and successes, about identity politics, about personal v. political v. professional and how they overlap and how to draw those boundaries. And while I have wonderful friends both online and off, the perspective just isn't the same from the outside. I do appreciate the whining you all let me do though.

(the long version, which needs to be typed up from the pages I wrote, since unlike [livejournal.com profile] clockwatcher I didn't go online the entire time I was gone will appear sometime later. This would also be why I need a sugar parenttype who wants to do things like a laptop with wireless access for me.)
