I spent part of this week trapped in Dallas at (and following) an HIV prevention conference. Because we were unprepared for the extra couple of days, we ended up at the mall (my department head, myself and another guy we met at a conference.) And we all bought new flip flops. David (otherguy, not my department head) wanted the flowery blue flip flops but Old Navy didn't have them in his size. He ended up with blue striped ones instead...perfect for wearing in the bathhouse, although not exactly what he wanted. He says he'll check Old Navy at home.

Right before VD, the boy and I were shopping at the Brazilian supermarket by his house where there was a huge display of flip flops for sale. I was admiring some that were made out of the Brazilian flag, so he asked me whether I wanted them for VD. I said "yes" and was disappointed when I didn't get them. Although, I don't think I will find any better than the blue sparkly ones that I got last year. Oooh. Shiney.
