Dec. 8th, 2004 02:48 pmCayne and I both got a little weepy over the candles last night...I guess it was just the experience of doing it together for the first time that made it very emotional for both of us.
He stopped on the way home and last night I got Grover-the furry stuffed Grover that Macy's is selling as a promotion. And, in order to get the Grover you have to spend $35. Instead of going and buying stuff for himself, he bought me two lipsticks. If you've ever gotten the gist of Cayne's inability to process colors (he sees colors but his brain doesn't send the right signals to tell him what they actually are, and if you put several colors together he sometimes can't tell that there's more than one there-there's a name for it, but I've forgotten what it is) then you'll understand that that's amazing. One silvery gloss that is similar to something he knows I wear, and one sparkly plum colored gloss. And apparently he picked them by himself, without any help from the salesperson. That was extraspecialgood. As was the fact that I got a Chanukah surprise, since my other presents from him I knew about. (He's terrible at surprises...he gets so excited that he wants to share.)
Tonight,
barking_iguana will be here. I did some errands and I should go eat something and do more stuff that needs to get done, like writing out more cards.
First, lunch.
