geminigirlMonday morning is our general staff meeting. Aside from the fact that it's on Monday morning, and that's just well, cracked out...they're most weeks, not too bad.
Yesterday's stands out as a particularly bright spot.
Over the weekend, one of my co-workers participated in a drag king contest. She did quite well too. But it spawned a lecture of sorts about how important it is to be yourself to the fullest extent possible, and a couple of parables about why being out as you is important. (The parables were about gay men in Kentucky, but you get the idea.)
It's nice to work in a place where it's okay to be me. And not just a little bit of me, but all of me.
In other work related news...
It seems that there are some issues between I. the newest team member and S. our boss. Tension abounds.
