Surgery is still to be scheduled, but work suggested I wait til July. I'm okay with that mostly-it makes sense; my boss should be back from her maternity leave, and May and June both have grant years that end at the end of the month (did that makes sense) and the other grant doesn't end til late September. I should probably be able to schedule my groups around surgery, so that my substance abuse sessions fall during the week following surgery, and the following week. I'll depend a lot on peer educators I suppose, too.

It's likely to happen in Silver Spring at Holy Cross, but that's up in the air. He might be able to do it in Falls Church, but because of the stupid latex allergy, it may not be possible.

I'm glad. Really and truly.

No word on the MRI, unless they called my office...I called today the receptionist said she'd have a nurse check and call me back.

And now to find foodage...hungry, sore throaty, achey and low-grade fevery. Yum!

why should there be issues with latex allergy-safe surgery in falls church? surprises me that it wouldn't be a basic availability. they're not going to be able to predict who's allergic for their nonscheduled surgeries - makes no sense to me that they'd have issues for scheduled surgeries...

or maybe i'm just tired.

Feel better....

Do yourself a favor and write "Latex Allergy" across your forehead in bright red lipstick right before they take you into surgery. :D
