What's funny is I searched for it, and the info I got back brought back SO many unrelated memories of geminigirl and some other friends from "back in the old days" on irc. I'm all aglow now :)

You weren't a usenetter, right? I fell off of usenet as I got more involved in IRC...just a more interesting interface. What's baffling to me is how people I've only met within the last year remember the chicken .sig.

It used to be on some website of cool .sig files, but it's gone now. The website, not the .sig.

If you're looking for a new IRC channel, a few old timers (me included) show up on irc.freenode.net #soc.bi-Cowgirl was there the other night, Aynjel and Points have made the occasional appearance. I should nudge Julz too to show up there.

I was more a lurker than anything. I checked back into soc.bi the other day and it was a huge mess of "lookin fer a guy to suck my..." type stuff. bah.
I will check out the irc channel, i miss everyone!

I think she's probably talking about the channel we used to frequent on efnet, not the freenode channel. I could be wrong though.

That particular variation of it (the one with the boneless, skinless, chicken breasts) is in fact originally mine, AFAIK. It's mine circa 1995 or so...
