geminigirlI am craving a tamale. I don't often crave tamales. I don't think tamales are on the menu yet.
The gum chewing helps, when I'm awake. The problem is chewing gum can't happen while I'm asleep. But I do feel better when I chew gum, so long as I don't sleep. If I sleep (like the nap I took this afternoon) waking up sucks. But it's good to know that gum chewing helps.
But I'm having a strange tamale craving. I think it may just be the "taste of real food" craving. No additional nightmares about mashed potatoes.

I'm about six days out, and still taking pain killers pretty frequently, although sometimes it's more for the ears than the throat. (I have ice pick weilding gnomes in my ears most of the time, which is why I'm chewing so much gum.) I was planning to go back to work on Friday, but I'm not sure I'm ready...I'm taking enough percocet that it might be a bad idea.
