Sep. 17th, 2003 01:57 pmWow. I just ate the best protein bar I've ever tried. It was a Detour Bar and it tasted like a Snickers bar. Was really yummy. There are probably healthier bars out there, but this tasted good-it satisfied my candy desire at the same time it was pretty good for me. (30 g of protein in the bar, 25 g of carbs.)
Picked up the latest new pair of contact lenses today. It's taken many tries to get a pair that seems to fit right. I'm not used to the way I look without glasses, so I can't tell if I like it or not. The lenses seem to fit-she's making one minor adjustment to the prescription, but I pick up the new lenses next week. (the adjustment is so minor they said to wear these until it's time to toss them on whatever the schedule is.) It's nice to have contacts for when I want to wear them, whether I decide to keep wearing them or not. I forget though, how bad my right eye is-even corrected it doesn't get better than about 20/60. Trying to read an eye chart with my right eye-corrected or uncorreected is an exercise in frustration. With both eyes corrected I get about 20/40. Supposedly contacts will be better for my nightvision. The whole disposeable contact thing is new to me-when I wore lenses before they weren't replaced quite this often.
And I think if I don't stop trying to push my glasses up on my nose and poking myself, I'll go nuts.
