My favorite Halloween-ish music on. This was the first Warren Zevon song I ever heard.
Dinner with
aynjel and
meepkitty and her other last night. And Godiva chocolate. And kisses. And rowdy, silly, giggly dinner companions.
Then shopping at Torrid for fishnets. And I now own a PVC dress which I wouldn't have purchased, but for it being half off. And the fact that I can think of at least three or four times I might wear it in the next few months.
aquariumgirl tried on this dress which looked adorable on her.
We are loud and silly at work-more so than usual, but not in costumes today, although outreach is happening tonight in costume. It should be fun and cute. I can't wait to see everyone's costume. It's interesting to try and explain Halloween customs and traditions to my boss, who is unfamilaiar with the holiday, and for religious reasons doesn't celebrate it. (She's Pentacostal, they're going to church tonight, to celebrate Martin Luther instead.) We talked yesterday about what the night before Halloween is called...regional variations are interesting...one person called it "Cabbage night" I called it "mischief night" and yet another person called it "beggar's night." I didn't do anything too outrageous last night, and it seemed that my neighborhood was relatively quiet and mischief free.
Course we'll see what happens later today.
Don't eat too much candy, and if you do, remember to brush your teeth.
