Note #1. I have a surgery date. 7/17. I think
aquariumgirl is going to take me to/from the hospital and probably stay with me the first day, but there's a question about overnight, and the next two or so days. But more important, I have a surgery date. Need to schedule pre-op appointment and labs, but that may be done already by the surgery scheduler; I should get the letter soon.
Note #2. I have officially been injured at karate. And it wasn't even like I got kicked or punched. Tonight, early in our workout, while doing a front snap kick, something snapped. I have done something undermined to my right calf muscle. This means at minimum a week rest, some pain killers, crutches, ice, wrap and elevate. (You first aiders know RICE, right?) So I am sitting here questioning the sanity of living alone (it's hard to get around at the moment, and believe it or not, the thing that makes me most grouchy about it is not being allowed to workout until next week at the earliest. Okay, being told not to drive is a PITA too, but I'm not sure I'll skip the driving. But being told "no karate til the doctor says so" really sucks rocks. I hope I heal quickly.
