It's five thirty and I'm up because I didn't take percocet before "bed." In quotes because I've got no set schedule at the moment...take percocet, eat, mess around on the computer, sleep, watch tv, take more percocet. In the span of about four hours. In some order, not necessarily the one given. I woke up with the gnomes driving spikes through my ears again...so I'm chewing a piece of Juicy Fruit to make the gnomes go away.

Another bizarre dream...only the second dream I remember since the surgery. This one involved my sister telling me it was her anniversary since she started dating two people who she referred to by their livejournal names. (I don't remember them, but they were real livejournals.) It also involved a father who was upset about the health video that his daughters had seen-something about backyard and playground violence. He was upset because they had to watch a video on backyard violence, and his children didn't have a backyard. His wife was very depressed, and she drove a blue mini-van, and she lent it to [livejournal.com profile] khatru which is why I remember having seen the mini-van before.

I'm thirsty. Time for applejuice. I might have chased the gnomes away too, which maybe means I can sleep a little more.

I am craving a tamale. I don't often crave tamales. I don't think tamales are on the menu yet.

The gum chewing helps, when I'm awake. The problem is chewing gum can't happen while I'm asleep. But I do feel better when I chew gum, so long as I don't sleep. If I sleep (like the nap I took this afternoon) waking up sucks. But it's good to know that gum chewing helps.

But I'm having a strange tamale craving. I think it may just be the "taste of real food" craving. No additional nightmares about mashed potatoes.

It really does make oh-so-much-sense, my very bright co-worker for you to call me on the PHONE when I took an entire week off to recover from my tonsillectomy and have you covering my groups for the following week.
