Feb. 9th, 2004 10:40 amSo if anyone who happens to be reading my journal at the moment is also planning to be around for the March for Choice (aka March for Women's Lives) on 4/25/04, let me know. I've got a party (fundraiser type thing) for work on 4/24 and I'd love for people to come out for both. (I've got the beginnings of an invite list for Saturday night, but it always helps to throw it here, because I know there's someone I'll forget.) If you do want to come out for one, or both of those events let me know. I'll mail out formal invites for the fundraiser soon-ish, and a reminder e-mail to anyone I can think of later this week. You might want to make sure I have your snail mail address too so I can send you formal invites.
The fundraiser is actually a lot of fun-we have a small party early in the evening, around 6 or so, for dinner etc. and then later on, closer to 8, our party, and all the others in the region head over to the Torpedo Factory in Alexandria for dessert, dancing and acutions (both silent and otherwise.) What I did for the "fundraiser" part last year was ask people to contribute $10/person, more if you can, less if you can't.
Anyway, save that date. I've got friends coming in from out of town, and it'll be fun.
And in other work related news...
Apparently we own the piece of statistical software we need to make the data entry possible, but 1. no one knows where it is, and 2. no one knows how many licenses we have for it. *sigh*
