Low key birthday celebrating after a really unpleasant meeting. messyjessy and I went to Guapos in Shirlington. I had a matrimonio to drink-ti was frozen swirled strawberry and regular margatita. Girly. And good....

I'm sure things will get more exciting this weekend.

Co-worker who does the two middle sessions of my program is leaving in about two weeks. I'm not surprised, but it does potentially screw with my summer plans quite a bit.

Another co-worker and his partner found out they're getting a baby. They've been preparing to adopt for a while, and in three to six months, the kid should be here. He's about eight days old now. Yay. If only Virginia didn't make it so difficult though.

Whee!

"Since it's really quiet, you guys can get out of here at three."

Squee. Always nice to get out early on really quiet days; especially since I'm really just hanging out waiting for phone calls.

And...co-worker A. (the one who found out he's getting a baby today) who has also always discussed the hotness of my boss S's husband just said "Now he's no longer the hottest Dad around."
"So who is," I asked?

He glared.

I said "Are you talking about you or J.?"

"J. of course."

It's so cute watching him find out and be happy and all.

Birthday Foo?

I'm torn between Blue Iguana (in Fair Lakes) which I've never been to, and Sweetwater (which I really like and haven't been to in a while)-the one in Centreville.

Do other people have a preference for one over the other? I'd probably want to make a reservation at Sweetwater and would need to get a headcount...

(I know that fortryll and xilet said they were coming, along with hiranu and farion plus zedrikcayne and I...if I get don't get more definite yes answers, we might just scrap those choices and do Melting Pot instead...six is a good number to do that with.)
