Naomi's Art and other things...
Aug. 30th, 2010 04:33 pmNaomi did two cute things today.
First, when Miriam sneezed, Naomi looked at her and said "gesundheit."
Then, Cayne changed her diaper, and suddenly needed to use the bathroom. So instead of getting her dressed, he put her down and went to the toilet. While this was going on, Naomi walked over to her dresser, opened the drawer, took out a shirt, brought it to Cayne to help her put it on (she can't get it over her head by herself yet) and when that was done, she went back into her room, and shut the drawer and waited for him to help her with her pants.
Miriam's therapist wanted to try taking her in without me today. I was reluctant, but she cries through her whole therapy session with me there, I figured it couldn't get any worse without me. She cried the first few minutes, stopped for about ten minutes and even did some of her stretches without crying (she doesn't even do that at home) and then cried when the therapist tried to do some more stretches. All in all it sounded like a better session than when I'm in there. Miri cried when Melody picked her up to go inside, and that upset Naomi. That was hard-Naomi was clearly upset that Miri was going without her and that Miri was upset. I distracted her with crayons and paper so she could color.
Speaking of coloring...
If you would be interested in a fabulous crayon drawing by my amazing two year old, let me know. I've screened all comments on this entry so you can leave your address. I get lots of them and they just end up recycled. I'm happy to spend the cost of a stamp so you too can have a masterpiece. (And if you've got a non-address comment that you would like unscreened, let me know.)
