Snow day snow day snow day snow day snow day!

(My boss just called to let me know. Sometimes she calls, sometimes she doesn't, and since I don't get our all staff voicemails, it's hard to know if we're open, closed or delayed.)

Course it doesn't help that I've been up since 5 AM, because my ear hurt and my wrist hurt...

I am so jealous. I think that my office has got to be buried in 30' snowdrifts before they call a snow day.

You guys do snow better than we do down here I think. But also, it just doesn't always make a lot of sense for us to be there-so much of what we do is non-essential (with a few exceptions, like transportation) and often in the schools or in places that aren't open in inclement weather that maybe it's better not to risk things for us.

Glad you aren't going out - particularly if your wrist is acting up, best to stay home & let it rest & take meds for it.

That's a good question, when you're going to see me. Not sure. I've got post-Arisia cold (unsurprising considering the number of people I kissed there.)

Sorry I was a no show on Saturday. It's nice to know that people wanted to see me, but I was just too wiped out.

I'm in the office til about 3:30 or 3:45, then out in Fairfax then I return a peer educator home and have a date-this evening would be kinda tough. If you want to wander Pentagon City with me tomorrow after work, I'm game for some company...otherwise, I'll drop your stuff at your place on my way home from the maul.

I know you had your fingers crossed for it. Im glad it came true. How many time in our dozen years of pre-college school did we wake up with the hopes of a snow day only to be bitterly disappointed?

I really need to get to the actual work I should be doing. (I know, I know, it's a snow day. But if I do it today, there's less to catch up on tomorrow...)

Yeah. I could be looking at SPSS stuff right now, but I'm not. I think that's about all I can do from home today, since I've got paperwork and phone calls to deal with, but all the things I need to do that are in the office.

I think the ear hurting is just part of the post-Arisia cold. A combination of not enough sleep, not bothering to take any of my vitamins the entire weekend, and kissing as many people as I did is a pretty good way to guarantee a cold.
