I sometimes wonder about having a job where there aren't always condoms in my desk. And on my desk. Female condoms, colored condoms, plain condoms, ultra thin condoms, ribbed condoms, tuxedos. No flavors, although I do have a bag of flavored lube right now. 12 flavors in all.

New site tonight..."well you can distribute condoms, on request, but you can't tell them that you'll give them condoms, and you can't do the condom demonstration.

Pulled out my portfolio and looked over the old B.Y.O.C. (Bring Your Own Condom)campaign...I miss that one. I'd love to revive it somewhere else.

I miss my research. I would love to be able to expand the LGBT campus health care project that I started.

Condoms everywhere.

how do you feel about female condoms? I've tried them twice. Once, we laughed so hard we had to stop - because Alex said he felt like he was, and I quote, "getting it on with a Ziploc bag". The other time, no matter how much lube we put in, he said it was chafing his penis. So, yeah. Do most people experience this with female condoms? Do they ever get to be worth the price?

They're not my favorite, but they're okay. My own personal experience with them anyway.

I have a latex allergy, and a spermicide allergy, which limits me to Avanti (made by Durex) for male condoms, the Female condom, or fluid monogamy. The guy I currently use the female condom with isn't really built in such a way that the Avanti fit well. I find that it's a bit more like condom free sex sometimes-enough lube on the outside, a little help from him putting it in, and plenty of lube on the inside, and applied directly to the penis and it's okay. Not great, not perfect, but okay.

I'm not thrilled, but it'll do until there are better options.

Latex allergy - ouch.

Although it can be difficult to find, we also have a male condom called eZon ('easy on') which is basically a female condom without the inner ring... or how I like using them anyway.

Work gets through loads of flavoured lube, even though I think it's horrid stuff. Perhaps it's more popular with clients because they're using somewhere they don't usually lick!

I've seen advertising for the EZ Ons...any experience with them, or anecdotal information?

I'd love to try them, but can't really justify the expense of ordering a bunch only to find that I hate them.

From the description, they are Femidoms minus the inner ring (the length and diameter look to be the same) and arranged in the packet so that they can go on either way.

As I can get Femidoms free, I've not been inspired to pay to try them. Plus I've only seen them online, rather than in shops or from our free supplier (although they are by the brand they supply).

I've been trying to figure out how that works...female condoms without the inner ring. I understand the concept for anal sex, but I can't visualize how they would stay on a penis.

I may send the link to the boyfriend and ask his opinion. I'd always been responsible for buying condoms before (largely due to the allergies-I've been pretty much responsible for it since they started because then I know I'm getting stuff that won't make me ill) but the price of female condoms is so high that he's offered to help.

It surprised me, but they do.

It particularly surprised me because my first experience using them that way was with a sex toy, and it did indeed end up gently stuck to the sides of the toy.

So I was expecting putting it on me first would be a quick, easy and interesting way to line the vagina with it.

Except that with a real vagina, it stays on the penis, whether lube is used on the outside or not.

They're actually more expensive here than there, despite a) being made here and b) you get the lube sachet and we don't!

I wonder how much they cost to post... and if the US postal service still bans condoms from being sent from abroad (unlike the Vatican!)

The Female Condom lube is icky-I'm quite content to get them without and use my own lube (usually Wet Platinum, or Hydrasmooth)

This sticking to the sides of things though...does it do that nasty caught in the pubic hair thing or what?

No, I've never had that. 'Soft' is the best word I can think of to describe it - it's not sticky like sticky tape.

We get about a dozen flavors of lube here, one of which is bubble gum.


When I saw that, my comment was "if you're young enough to be looking for bubblegum flavored lube, you're probably too young to be having sex anyway."

It just seemed vile to me. And so, a co-worker picked up the packet, bit the top off, spit it out, and sucked the bubble gum flavored stuff down, and said "Not bad-tastes like Bazookas."

Reality was not for me.

I couldn't get the hang of the ringy thing, and have long nails and was afraid of puncturing it or me, and that outside ringjust looked ridiculous.

Then again, ever since we went to Defcon and one of the scavenger hunt articles was "a female condom filled with strawberry yogurt (extra credit if fruit pieces" I've been thinking about how it would be okay to fill with hershey's syrup...

I'm trying to make them obvious...I might throw it into the condom discussion next week-when I talk about "Where to get condoms" and say something like "[name of agency I work for] can sometimes give condoms out" or something like that.
