Yesterday, we were off from work in honor of President's Day...which complicated the engagement announcment. I could have done it all at once at the staff meeting, but we didn't have one, so it had to wait until today.

Reactions have ranged from: "To who-a guy or a girl?" "When are they going to San Francisco?" "Congratulations, that's wonderful." "No way, you're lying." They've been pretty amusing.

I've been asked "Is he bisexual?" "Does he know you are" "And he's okay with it?" "Does this mean you're going to stop dating women?"

I've already been asked what aquariumgirl thinks. And if I'm still seeing her. And if I'll continue to see her.

*sigh* Silly people here.

i didn't want this to get lost among the many of congrats you already got :) sooooo CONGRATS daughter:) hey when i'm down there which btw is next weekend, think you can come over and tell me all about this person your marrying :)?? hey i've been married 29 years now and still happy so if you need any secrets on how it works let me know and i'll share them :) i'm way happy for ya toots and hope to see ya soon :)

And I'll try and come by while you're down here. I'm leaving town Friday afternoon and coming back Sunday, but if we can work around it, I'd love to see you.
