Sadly I know that already. Which is part of the reason I take a multivitamin with the RDA of magnesium. I also tend to crave chocolate for that reason about a week earlier than this. I'm more inclined to chalk this up to being bored at work than an actual food craving. These are the kind of cravings that go away, and don't hang around.
If it does hang around until this afternoon, I will break out the supply of caramel filled kisses.
I have no idea. It wouldn't surprise me if men were also magnesium-deficient, though, given the typical diet....
More seriously, many of the guys I've talked to have professed not to understand chocolate obsession. They tell me it's a woman thing. I'm not sure if they're right or not, but certainly more men I know are less chocolate-crazed than more women I know. :)
It could be largely due to the fact that we bleed about once a month and they don't-men for example don't suffer monthly bouts with anemia as some women do. I know my cravings generally tend to be cyclical-I can fairly accurately predict on what day I'll desire chocolate.
Yes. I'm not much of a chocolate eater in general. Logic is important to my chocolate cravings. If I'd craved sugar cookies or something, I wouldn't question it.
Its a rare time that I crave chocolate. I'd much rather having something else sweet, like cola or even those über-yummy white cream filled caramels. I think they're called, "Goefetzel's" or something like that.
