Overwhelmingly, respondents to yesterdays Prophylactic Poll thought that buying condoms was no big deal.

The most common alternative word for condom was "rubber"-I haven't called it a rubber in years but that's only because I haven't used a condom made of rubber in years.

The prize (if there is one) for best alternative name goes to fortryll for "Battlestar Prophylactica. She does however need to replace the diet coke with lime that landed on my computer when I read that. (Just kidding. About the replacing part anyway.)

Thirty Four people who responded to the poll said that they buy the condoms that they liked best.

Please bear with my curiosity here. I create unscientific polls to satisfy my need to know things. But since I've been limited by allergies to two condom types for almost ten years, I'm wondering how other people negotiate and work these things out.

I really dislike Question 2. Generalized "should" questions about any subject may play into people's insecurities; about sex all the more so. It's got to depend on how much it matters to each person, which may depend on lots of things bseides who's the one wearing it.

I wonder why all the anti-trojan sentiment? They have always served me well.

I haven't used a trojan since early in college, but a lot of the kids I work with complain that they feel thicker than the other brands. They also complain that lifestyles break more frequently. I haven't found either one to be true, but then, I haven't used anything but Avanti or female condoms in years.
