I think crying for ridiculous reasons has definite merits. And dindin seems pretty cool.

I'm having a really hard time today with the idea of leaving my friends. Of leaving things that are secure and familiar, and heading to places unknown.

And mostly, leaving my friends here.

Not that my friends up there aren't wonderful too, but they're different people.

I know. And we'll have a big house for people to come and visit.

And we'll be near New York City for people who want to get there that way.

Plus, you can get cheap plane tickets between Newark and here.

If I can scrape up the $ we should make sure to go for drinks at least once more before I go though.

I dunno, I cry, laugh, and am really really pleased by things that _I_ think are ridiculous, and yet other people seem to think it makes perfect sense. So we might not think it is ridiculous! :)

Heh. She sent me an e-mail about an article in yesterdays Washington Post.

A couple of weeks ago we saw "woman who is dressed like a tramp wearing a political t-shirt"-the same night of our infamous John Edwards sighting. Apparently the Post ran an article about the t-shirts yesterday.

I'm trying to find the article though.

Huh! With some context (ie, for example, the fact that it would remind you of hanging out with her, and perhaps make you miss that intensely), that makes perfect sense to me.

From what GG told me, I think that's what set her off. Things and places and people that she'll miss.

It did remind me of places and people that I'll miss. And the incredible silliness that seems to follow dindin and I when I see her, and stuff.

I'm incredibly lucky to have made the friends I did here. They're some of the most incredible people.
