So Cayne came down, although he left his cell phone at home on Friday and I ended up worrying about him since he didn't call or anything.

Saturday, I was unpleasant. I was cranky and in pain and impatient and short tempered. I snapped at Cayne, I yelled at the deaf cat, and just wasn't in a good state. I finally got a doctor's appointment for 4:45 in the afternoon, after of course having problems dealing with the insurance; I'd sent the COBRA check, but apparently something hasn't yet been processed. Two hours later I saw one of the NPs who prescribed muscle relaxants (and sternly warned me not to drive)-because I'm allergic to Ibuprofen, there's not much to do for the pain-I'm taking Tylenol or aspirin (because I haven't had a reaction to that yet) and muscle relaxants. I'm having trouble sleeping but the drugs help. In fact, I slept a good part of the middle of today-in fits and spurts of course, but solidly. And had a strange dream about vibrating people (which goes along with the vampirezombies who were in my dream a few days ago.)

And Cayne, in his usual, very sweet way, cooked some food for me today, took out the trash and cleaned litter boxes. Cleaning litterboxes is an awful chore, but he did it, with minimal complaint. That's love. He also drove to Rockville to pick up some boxes for me. And put a few that I'd packed into his car and took them away.

I'm not allowed to lift anything over five lbs (or, as I said to Cayne...I can't even pick up the freaking cat) for a while, which is going to make packing complicated. I'm not going to be able to drive up to NJ with boxes this week as I'd planned, so I'll probably make two trips next week when I'm slightly more mobile.

I really do appreciate what he does for me when he does things like change all his weekend plans to come down and take care of me.

One hour to more drugs.

I don't know this guy, but I really really like him. Sounds a lot like my sweetie...who is also very nice to me when I'm unpleasant.

*hugs* Hope you are feeling better soon.

It's okay. The cat doesn't need to be lifted. Take time to heal. :) Feel better!!

Hope you're feeling better soon! I'm also allergic to ibuprofen. It sucks. Good luck with healing and packing and moving and all that fun stuff.

Ah yes-- ibuprofen makes my hands, feet, and face swell up to the point where I can't see for a few days. It's a good time. Fortunately, I don't have the asthma to worry about. I have lots of drug allergies, so I definetly plan on listening to my pateints's drug histories as I know how crappy it is to have doctors and nurses not believe you when your history doesn't quite match up to what is scientifically expected.

Hope you're feeling better today-- good luck packing!
