Downside to having lost a bunch of weight?

My slinkydress no longer slinks everywhere...only in some places. And so it no longer looks slinky but instead looks ill-fitting.

my guess is that this is one of those things where you're being harsher on yourself than anyone else on the planet would be. ask aquariumgirl for her opinion when she gets back. otoh, i wish you were feeling better, slinkydress appearance aside.

She is back. I've seen her three nights in a row actually....

I'm sure I'm being harsher on myself than anyone else. I'm sure PMS is a contributing factor to my fussiness at the moment. But at the same time, I know as I've lost weight, as I've found my shape changing a bit, I've become ,more dissatisfied with my body than ever before. I think it has to do with proportions-my waist is many sizes smaller than much of the rest of me, and that's gotten even worse as I've gotten smaller. That in turn has made clothes ill-fitting, and difficult to buy.

I wish I were feeling better too. I overdid it this week, and I'm paying for it today. And probably tomorrow, and into next week. On that note, it's naptime, until the laundry needs to be moved over.

Well, there's always washing the slinky dress a bit too warm.

Also, this season very wide Obi-inspired belts are really hot thanks to Mr Tom Ford for Gucci, so basically a wide belt of fabric tied around the wist of the not-so-slinky dress will draw the eye directly to your new waistline.

I mean, look what it did for this trash bag of a slinky dress.

Good lord! Apparently, Gucci says sloppy dresses are in, as long as they're black (and sure, it's harder to see how sloppy a dress is if it's black, but if you make it sloppy enough it'll still be visibly quite a mess).

Consider having your current slinky-dress altered. And hourglass figures fucking rock. Think Marilyn Monroe, wear the slinky dress (altered, or obi-belted, as fj suggests), and you'll be the belle of the ball.

I have a fear of getting some of my stuff altered. I've given up on my favorite suit at the moment (incredibly sexy black pinstripes) because it doesn't fit. I think I'm afraid I'll go back to the unaltered state or something. I don't know.

I could do the Marilyn thing...I just get squicked by my arms every once in a while. A nice wrap solves that problem sometimes.
