I had my first official wedding nightmare. We were getting ready for the wedding, and suddenly realized we'd never gotten a marriage license. I think that makes it official.

Mom has decided that this Saturday is the day she wants to go look for her dress. I am so not looking forward to this part. Mom hates shopping. And it's a great time for her to get on my case about whatever she happens to not approve of. And of course, Mom and her complete disregard for my boundaries means I'm so not looking forward to this.

Cayne seems to be recovering from his bronchitis, I've got a cold now though. Joy.

We're tossing honeymoon ideas around. Seems like Vegas is at the top of the list.

Just waiting until this is done.

Suddenly, my best bra is too big. I asked Cayne if my breasts were shrinking and he said he thought so. It's not a bad thing, but wow, do I find it weird to have my bra too big. It looks funny on me.

Haveing been through this before, twice, how comfortable are you with standing up for your boundaries?

I once walked out on a wedding meeting my mother was attending with me. I just got up and walked out and told the person I'd reschedule. We got outside and my mother asked what that was all about. I explained that her utter disreguard for what I wanted, what mattered to me and everything made me unwiling to do this with her and I'd go another time by myself. She appologized and we went back in. When we went to do the flowers (the other had been the cake) I warned her in advance how I expected her to act and that went better.

Maybe taking to her in advance and letting her know you'd appreciate her acting like an adult and what you'll do if she doesn't might make the day go better.

You deserve to have your boundaries respected. This is going to be your day, not hers. (No matter what she says). Good luck sweetie.

Wait. I thought you were supposed to do it in that order? Big wedding, then license. Or maybe either order works. Because at the wedding I was recently a part of, they did the big (sorta) thing, and then got the license later.
