More about the cat...

Lately, I've been waking up with a toy mouse next to my bed. Every morning. It's a toy that Beta isn't fond of, though he's the one more inclined towards playing with the toy mice in the house. I think it's been Oblivion, bringing the toy in, and leaving it by my bed. Perhaps she knows she's dying, and wants to be sure that I'm taken care of, so she brings me mice. I'm a very bad kitten. She knows that.


Oh, and I've realized that I ought to make some adjustments to my friends list, which one of these days I'll get around to.

Cats know. They will tell you.

I don't know if you happen to be a WWdN reader, but he wrote several entries about his cats being sick. My favorite, because he said it better than I could have, is one where he talks about sitting down with his cat and saying "Are you ready to leave us? I don't want you to go, and if you don't want to go, I'll do whatever I can to keep you. But if you're ready, let me know." And then he just waited for a sign.

To some extent, it's us projecting onto them...but it's a good projection, I think...and it does seem like they understand sometimes.
