Sep. 22nd, 2005 11:31 pmI'm often surprised at the range of content on my friends page. Posts about relationships, explicit sex, defining gender, families and children, economics, politics. I love the world that people around me inhabit and with that mine was as interesting. It's almost like wanting to be one of the cool kids, only at some point in my life, I grew up and realized that the cool kids were only cool because other people decided they were, and not because of any quality that inherently made them cool.
I wish I was one of the cool kids now.
I spent a chunk of last night chatting with two different friends in internetland about their relationships. It amazed me how similar some of the things they said were. It makes me worry about mine. Not because of anything they said, or anything I can see going on here right now, but because everything seems so fragile.
Widget Thunderpaws spent part of today on the bed, leaping towards the ceiling fan. He's trying to attack the pull chain or something. He's far more entertaining than the dog I spent part of today with. Glenda's a nice dog...she's a young pit bull who was rescued by friends of ours. He works with Cayne, she's usually home with the dog, but is out of town for a few days, and so instead of Cayne's co-worker running home during the day to let her out, I offered to go over and do it. N is a producer, so his hours aren't quite as crazy as Cayne, but they're all working long hours.
I've been having an incredible number of dreams about sex lately. And it's good sex in my dreams. My sex drive is really through the roof right now.
I'm looking for pajamas with feet. I don't need them in Florida, but when we go up to Sudbury later this year they'll be nice. Cayne's mom's house is always very cold. So far, most of the hits for my size point me at adult baby fetish things. I'd rather not order from fetish clothing places. I'd be especially happy if I could find a blanket sleeper with feet and everything.
We've been sort of talking about buying a car, since we know we're going to have to replace Cayne's car at some point. And a house.
I've been thinking about Halloween costumes-we may have a party to go to. It doesn't feel like autumn here. Today was the first day that was more rainy than sunny, but it was still really warm. It's late September and I'm still defaulting to shorts and short sleeves. And thinking about what we ought to give out for Halloween.
I'm going to go eat a pickle and a brownie.

Date: 2005-09-23 04:21 am (UTC)I may order a pair of pajamas from there without feet and just get a really really warm pair of socks to sleep in.

Date: 2005-09-23 04:29 am (UTC)Are you just flattering me so I'll sleep with your wife again? ;)
(If I could have figured out how to get it to her reasonably, I'd have bought her Big Red, which was on sale.)

Date: 2005-09-23 04:46 am (UTC)I don't think I'd flatter you so you'd sleep with my wife. If I was going to flatter you, it'd be so you'd sleep with me. Whether or not my wife sleeps with you really isn't my decision, except insofar as we're married, so I could probably at least try to say 'no', and we're in love, so I could also try to do whatever it was that I thought would make her happy. Do ya think sleeping with her would make her happy? I think it might. Maybe you should hit on her, and see what happens.

Date: 2005-09-23 04:57 am (UTC)I think I would have orgasms if I got to kiss your wife again. She is a fantastic kisser. Especially when she's wearing lipstick.
Odd twist to the Michael Flatley story that wasn't part of it back when I made that entry, and the comments...I'm married to one of the people who removed Michael Flatley from the party.

Date: 2005-09-23 05:46 am (UTC)The cleaning up from the cooking, is part of the eating. The day to day, the scrubbing the toliets, and cleaning up the dogshit (and the snakeshit, for that matter) are as much (or more) than the things I think interesting enough to write about.
I too look at the stuff on my f-list and am agog at all the other bits of interesting stuff there is in other peoples' lives and am croggled that some of them want to read about mine.

Date: 2005-09-23 11:45 am (UTC)Personally, I don't want to be a cool kid. Too much damn drama. I'm enjoying being boring.
