Assistance for a Friend

A DC-local friend of mine is looking for recommendations for a therapist/psychologist in the Northern Virginia area - specifically between western Fairfax County and Eastern Loudoun County (including Fairfax, Dulles, Chantilly, Centreville, possibly Vienna or Manassas).

She's looking for someone who is open to couples counseling if that becomes necessary, but mostly for someone impartial to talk to and get advice & opinions from. She has a history of depression, and was once medicated, but doesn't want to go that route this time, becaues she's only "borderline depressed" right now and is really looking for someone to work on other things. She also wants to make sure they take insurance
so she does not have to pay 100% out of pocket and can get to a list of therapists on her plan to check against the recommendations. (Her insurance is through United Health Care.)

Does anyone have suggestions? If you prefer not to post them here, feel free to e-mail geminigirl at livejournal etc. with suggestions

I have a listing on my computer but it's currently dysfunctional (hard drive crash). We're hoping to have the data moved over & accessible in the next few days; once I have it, I can send you some names. I cannot for the life of me remember the name of the counselor I was seeing a few years back in the Vienna area, but I think I have her on that list as well.

I don't know if she fits into those categories, but my favorite person by far was Dr. Kelsey French, pscyhologist, in fairfax. I saw her over 7 years ago so I'm not as up on everythign now but I really liked her.
