In sharp contrast to our experience with the Social Security office earlier this week, and anticipating some serious effort to get Cayne's passport renewed on time, I dug up the information for the nearest Canadian consulate (located in Miami) and sent them an e-mail requesting assistance. Not be delusional, I expected that it would take a while before someone got back to me.

There was an e-mail in my inbox this morning, requesting a phone number where I could be reached.

Go go Canadians...Eh?
