Jul. 24th, 2006 02:44 pmI am unpleasantly sick. I'm hoping that I feel better quickly. I'm taking advantage of being sick to watch lots of episodes of Gray's Anatomy that I recorded. (At least I'm hungry, even if nothing sounds interesting.)
There's a giant people eating bug in my bedroom. (It's a palametto bug. First one we've seen since we moved here.) I screamed. I'm not one who freaks about bugs, but those get to me. Cayne's not home to take care of it, so I'm hoping the cats will take care of it.
All the kitties went to the vet on Saturday morning and got vaccinations. They came home not too grumpy. All good for six months, until they need bordatella boosters.
I will upload our photos from Kennedy Space Centre some time soon. We went with our friends Su and Nick, and Su's brother. Su's brother is a priest, who is taking a month to relax here before he heads off to do missionary work in Burma. He's also a really interesting guy. He and Cayne play chess when he's in town, but I had a chance to have really interesting conversations about faith, feminism, ethics, Jungian archetypes and biblical figures, and men and religion. It was really nice. Cayne sort of watched and istened and looked confused. It was probably similar to the way I feel listening to him talk to his colleagues sometimes.
It's going to rain here soon. We've had rumbly thunder for an hour or two. It'll be nice.
