Half the size it used to be
Aug. 2nd, 2006 03:54 pmNo confirmation from the midwife yet-I don't actually meet with her til next week, but the cyst on the right side is about half the size it was in April, which means the pills are doing what they're supposed to-I'm not exactly sure what this means in terms of getting off the pill though...that's for next week.
And interesting conversations with the Ultrasound tech, about which hospitals around here to deliver at, and why. She says she would go to Winnie Palmer/Orlando Reigonal, which has neonatologists on call/on staff and available 24/7/365, rather than Florida Hospital, which doesn't. Winnie Palmer handles the high risk pregnancy around here, and has a high C section rate for normal pregnancies. It's something to think about though. They're about equidistant from the new house anyway.
And the sleep doctor had a cancellation, so instead of having to wait several weeks, Cayne has an appointment for tomorrow.
Yay!

Date: 2006-08-03 02:57 am (UTC)Cayne (and he admittedly doesn't know that much about labor and birth) is pushing for the availability of every possible intervention and machine-he says "I want the machine that goes ping." I'd prefer a lower-intervention birth if it's indicated by pre-natal care that it's safe. I'm not a good candidate for homebirth/unassisted birth, and I've been told, for most stand alone birthing centres around here, because of the state of my lungs, and that's fine with me. I can understand that. Winnie Palmer Hospital is brand new, it just opened a few months ago, and it's really a maternity hospital (it's really Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies) so it does have some advantages. I have mixed feelings about Florida Hospital (which is the other hospital around here.) I'll also have to see where whoever I end up delivering with with has priveledges. He or she may have them at one and not the other. I think no matter what, we're going to involve a doula; I think it will help Cayne (cause no matter how much I love him, he doesn't cope well with me being in pain, and labor is painful, and well, he may forget what choices I've made about drugs in favor of relieving the pain, or something) and I think it can be exhausting, as well for him. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
