I have had stabbing pains in both ovaries today, and lots of uterine cramps. My period is beyond the crampy stage, so I think it's something totally unrelated to that. Feh. I'll mention it to the doctor when I'm there soon.

And oh wow, I can tell that Cayne was drinking tonight. He's snoring extra loud.

We shopped today. A lot. At Pier One. We bought a table, and chairs, and rugs, and stuff. And it will look nice. Slipcovers are probably the next project.

All I want right now is for it to be late enough that I can take strong drugs and go to bed. (Can't take the prescription stuff with alcohol, so I'm waiting a little longer so that I can take serious meds and go to bed. Need lots of energy for grape stomping tomorrow.

Pictures? (Of furniture, not cramps. Ouchie.)

table-the flower in the top is blue. Very pretty. Not the one we'd originally planned on, but I like it better. We didn't care for the chairs pictured with it (hello cat claws) so we got these chairs with these cusions in blue, which aren't on the website.

We also got a folding shelf-it's four shelves, around 12 inches wide, or so that I can't find on the website but that matches this mirror-I want to put a mirror in the front hall, so I may get the mirror, I haven't decided. Cayne bought a different mirror that isn't on the website-it's an oval mirror with a black, wooden frame, and painted with a few flowers. It's very pretty, I'm just not sure it works.

We also got a couple of these rugs for the living room/dining room space. (It's the big room with the wood floors in the house photos. I'm planning on painting it a yellow-green color, which should work nicely with the rugs.) I'm still trying to figure out what to do about slip covers. We've got a beige sofa and love seat that are going in that room, plus a big blue chair, and while the couch/love seat are in okay shape themselves, the fabric is not quite as good, so I'd like to slipcover it. I was thinking sage, but it won't work with the color I finally settled on for the walls, so now I'm thinking blue. I'd like a patterned slipcover, but I'm not bound to it.

I also need to choose slipcovers for the ugly chairs and ottomans, but those will probably be a solid blue.

Let me know if you want the rundown on the colors we decided on for the interior of the house. They're all Benjamin Moore, and I can give you the names/numbers. I need to do a final check on the master bedroom color tomorrow-going to bring one of the shams from the current bedroom decor up there, but I'm pretty set on the color.

What color yellow/green? That description makes me nervous.

It's Benjamin Moore HC-119-a color called Kittery Point Green. It works nicely between the two other colors (Vale Mist-Benjamin Moore 1494 for the family room, and maybe master bedroom as well) and Quiet Moments-Benjamin Moore 1563 in the kitchen.)

Whew. That green is not nearly as scary as I imagined it. Very nice!

It looks greyer than it is on my monitor when I put it on the walls. It's bright and springy. The one thing I'm quite unsure about is what color to paint the hallway. It's off to the left of the living room, and it's a short hallway, but it has Cayne's room, the bathroom, and the third bedroom. Two of the rooms are being painted blue (Cayne's room and the bathroom) and the third room is going to be green and white. I'd like to paint the hallway something neutral-maybe the same white as the bottom half of the walls in the third bedroom, but Cayne wants to keep it the same bright green as the living room.

Just remember that the green will look different in a hallway (probably without windows?) than in a room with sunlight.

But since its short? I'd do it in either the white or the green, rather than introduce a new color.

That is exactly my thought. It's a short, dark hallway. I'd like to paint it the same white (I think we're going to do Atrium White) that the trim and doors are going to be, and the lower half of the walls in the third room, and the insides of the closets and so on.

And since we're talking about furniture, and I need to replace the coffee table that we've got...despite my love of mission style stuff, I'm looking at something like this or this for the family room, and this for the living room.

Cayne likes it as well. I'll probably take a ride and go look at it one day. The glass topped one is for a different room than the others. I love the baskets, because you can put blankets or toys in them and hide them away. I also ought to take a ride to the place that's closing two stores in two weeks and see if they have anything we like. It's where we bought the new couch, and they had some interesting stuff.

Totally. There's no point in having a coffee table that doesn't have storage. Even if its just where you stash everything from the top when company comes over.... :)
