Brief commentary:

I don't believe Amanda Peet as a network exec.

I do like Steven Weber, but that's nothing new. And give me more Timothy Busfield, who I've liked since Thirtysomething.

As someone elese mentioned, I think she's based on a real person.

Part of the reason I both believe and love her character is because 1) I'd act like her if I were in the same position and 2) she bunks the stereotype.

I think that last part is why so many people are having issues with her character. She's a white female Issac Jaffee (see Sports Night).

Give it time. Let the series roll and let her continue to eat away at our preconcieved notions.

What I said to Craig further up was that I don't disbelieve her enough to stop watching yet-it's Aaron Sorkin and part of the reason people watch is because of the way he develops his characters. But, based on a real person or not, there's only so far that suspension of disbelief can take me, and she pushes that limit really, really hard. Give me an actress even five years older than her, or something, and I might find the character more believable.
