In other news, we had a pleasant housewarming, and a nice visit with my in laws. My mother in law did drive me nuts, a bit, but not in an intolerable way. She wouldn't sit still, and insisted on doing things like vaccuming and folding laundry. I felt like my house was being invaded. I tried out a new recipe, and it was just a generally pleasant visit.

And, it's nearly 4 PM and we've had no Trick or Treaters.

I guess I should get the munchkin early today and make sure I'm home.

The little ones usually come in the afternoon, although perhaps around here not until about half past five, when more people are home from work.

The counties in this area have official trick or treat times, in order that drivers can be on the look out for increased pedestrian traffic. The official trick or treat time is 6pm to 8pm. Sunset today was at 5:40pm.

Interesting. I've never heard of that before. It's a good plan, I suppose. As far as I know, there's nothing like that around here.

Mine is exactly the same way. She once rearranged my fridge and pantry. It has taken a few years, but I've settled into the fact that she really thinks she is being helpful and if I can guide or steer her into certain projects, she IS being helpful! I do not enjoy the "invaded house" thing though. I was so pissed when I could not find a yogurt in my new "logical" fridge.
