Lazy or something

My boss sent me home this morning. She didn't want me to get her sick...although what I probably have is whatever virus she had last week. I've got a little congestion, sore throat, ears hurt and a fever. The most irritating part is the ears. I knew something wasn't right cause my equilibrium was off last week when I was doing drunk tests (walk the line, put the Fatal Vision Goggles on, walk the line again.) Friday, going through the tunnel, I couldn't get my ears to unpop after I got through it. I'm not sure if this is an ear infection or just a cold, and I'm not rushing off to the doctor to find out. Of course, the fact that I turned around to walk from my boss's office to mine (maybe eight feet) and got dizzy enough that I sat down on the floor is probably not a good thing. So I was home today. Didn't do much, just slept. Worked out a bit, but I'm feeling lazy cause I haven't had a good walk since Saturday. I just didn't have the energy today and if I keep sneezing, I'm not sure about tomorrow.

Had a good chat with my Mom while I was home. Sometimes I think she even realizes I'm sort of grown up. She also realizes that I can do things...some things better than her. She asked me to hem a couple of pairs of pants for my Dad before he goes into the hospital. They're here with me, but I need to buy a ruler before I do, so I can measure how much to cut off the bottoms.

Still disturbed over my sister. I wish I could figure that out.

Disappointed that I missed seeing "Notorious C.H.O." with curiousangel et al on Sunday. Oh well. I'm sure I'll get to see it.

My kitten is likely coming home this weekend or early next week. I am thinking it's time to get some kitten supplies...a cat tree and a collar. Names for him will be next.

I did finally get my voter registration updated to reflect that I'm now in Virginia. Now I need to find a good site with candidate information so I can vote in November.

aquariumgirl If you're not doing anything Saturday afternoon, do you want to go to Leesburg with me to pick up the kitten?

I think it's ice cream time...it will make my throat feel better and then bed soon.

Not only do I want to go pick up the kitten with you, it's actually already on my calendar so I won't forget. :-)

Okie Dokie. I'll e-mail Valarie and make the arrangements.

I'm so glad I'll have company. Mewling kitties in cars make me feel badly when I can't pay attention to them.

I think I'm going to stay in today...I've got group tomorrow and if my throat still feels like this, I'm not going to be talking.

I'm sure I'll be fine. I'm deciding if it's worth calling the advice line where they'll make me rush in and see the doctor (which they try to convince me I need to do every time I have a cold-it's apparently standard procedure if one has asthma) or just hanging out at home and see if my ears stop feeling like they're going to explode.

Netflix has mailed a new film, although I may ask you for help before we settle down to watch anything, because I want to go get another cat tree from Petco.

Eeep! My bad. But the number didn't change. It was just out of service for a few days while I waited for the cute phone company guy to come out to install a line for me.
