melebeth and I have long shared a love of adolescent/young adult fiction. New books. Old Books. And we talk about it, often. And we've decided that it's time to make a place to talk about it. So we made a community. Right now, the goal is a book-group-style discussion. One book a month, chosen by the two of us (either because we feel like it, or from nominations by members) that we'll re(read) and discuss. It may help us see some of our favorites in a new light, it may introudce us to new authors we haven't read before or that others love.

And I know that melebeth and I aren't the only ones who love young adult fiction, so I implore those of you who might enjoy this to join us, and to spread the word.

So come play. And tell other people about the community. And share your books. We've been talking about stuff we loved and would like to read again-Judy Blume, Witch of Blackbird Pond, From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler, and more. And Meg Cabot's prom book that comes out next month, too.

if i magically find an extra hour in the day, i will join up -- as it is, i dont know that it would be fair, as i don't have time to read, ever :(

if mango doesn't join up poke at her -- she's really into YA books.
