More Weather
Aug. 21st, 2008 04:39 pmIt's pouring, again. And windy.
And the weather radio keeps waking the baby. This time it was a flash flood warning. There's not much in the way of elevation here, but we happen to be up a little bit of a hill...which doesn't mean the roads around us won't flood.
I want to cry right now.

Date: 2008-08-21 09:20 pm (UTC)dad is actually up here this week, so he's escaped all of the fun. ken got home on sunday evening & immediately went out for water, gas & other supplies (what exactly that means, i don't know). i think all is well at their house, just lots of rain. oddly enough i don't think they were as adequately prepared as they normally are for hurricane season, but i think they're okay.

Date: 2008-08-21 11:11 pm (UTC)Water, gas, batteries, possibly rope or tarps, and canned goods. We also needed diapers-if we lost power, we'd have been without the ability to wash diapers.
I have company the last week of October-I forget the exact dates right now, but other than Naomi's six month well baby visit on the 15th, we're free. Let me know when you'll be here and we'll make some plans to have lunch.
