It's so frustrating that the county library system doesn't have any of the books I haven't read yet by a couple of favorite authors. I know they have other books out...just can't get them through the county library.

we utilize several county and city library systems other than our own -- you might try checking around in nearby counties. our state also has something called mnlink.org where you can search all libraries in the state if you can't find something at your own library. not sure if florida has that or not...

I live in Orange County and I can use Lake and Seminole County libraries, which are the counties east and west of where I live but there are restrictions on what services I'm allowed to use-they get grumpy, for example, about transferring books from one branch to another for out-of-county residents and I can't have them hold books for me either. I know Seminole has one of the books I'm looking for, but I don't think it was at either of the branches near me, which means I need to decide if it's worth driving to the other side of the county to get it.

Surely a helpful librarian will arrange an inter-library loan for you if you ask?
